The Thompson Center on Lourdes, otherwise known as TCoL is a nonprofit community center located on 2nd floor of St. Bernadette School in Appleton, Wisconsin.  Their motto is "Celebrating Life Over 50."  And people definitely celebrate life here with all of the activities we have to offer.  Participation continues to grow.

When The Thompson Community Center on College Avenue closed March 31st, 2016, St. Bernadette Parish stepped up to provide a space for these active older adults to continue their activities and avoid isolation.  St. Bernadette's Director of Operations, Patty Eichhorst, The Knights of Columbus Council #12269, and The Fox Valley Task Force and The Civic League made the move happen.  The Thompson Center on Lourdes, not skipping a beat, began operation in April 2016 and recently celebrated their one-year anniversary.  Participants can watch The Center evolve and their dreams of a new center become a reality with many new additions to come!

So come on in and enjoy the birds, take a peek at our "Put and Take" books and puzzles, and play some cards, put a puzzle together, enjoy one of our monthly Civic League potlucks, come dance, paint, carve, play some bingo or billiards, crochet/knit, or quilt and open sew, or play some pickleball.  Whatever your pastime, we probably have it!  If not, we will do what we can to get it.
