The Thompson Center on Lourdes is a nonprofit organization dedicated to mental, physical, and emotional well being of older adults by providing a comfortable, educational, social, and recreational environment for our community.  We strive to empower adults, to enrich their lives and enhance their personal growth.  We welcome participants by offering no residency restrictions or membership fees.

If you have a loved one who struggles with cognitive impairment, it's time to provide them an experience that brings happiness and improves quality of life. Active Minds is a personal learning experience designed to fit the needs of those with early stage dementia , or mild memory loss . Through the use of multiple hands-on activities combined with stimulating conversations in a group setting, Active Minds creates a unique atmophere that promotes social communication, healthy living styles, and lasting friendships.  The Active Minds team understands how to accommodate a variety of learning needs, creating connections and a sense of community through the use of humor, spontaneity, and love.  Beginning Monday, January 9th, Active Minds Community will meet Mondays and Tuesdays 10:00am-12:30pm.  Cost:

$30.00 per day

$50.00 for two days

$200.00 per month

The Appleton Historical Society meets the 2nd Wednesday of every month from 7pm-9pm to discuss, share, and promote Appleton's history.  AHS meetings are free and open to the public, anyone can attend!  Each meeting includes announcements of historical interest and a featured speaker. Meetings are located in the cafeteria on lower level of St. Bernadette School.
